Why Study in Canada?

Canada is an increasingly popular destination for international students, with 1.5 lakh Indian students choosing this country for higher education annually. It’s a choice driven by several compelling factors. Firstly, Canada is known for its safe and peaceful environment, offering students a secure and stress-free learning experience. Secondly, the country boasts academic excellence, with internationally acclaimed universities providing diverse programmes. Moreover, Canadian institutions often offer more affordable tuition fees compared to other Western nations.

Another significant advantage of studying in Canada is the opportunity to work part-time during your studies, allowing you to gain valuable experience and support your finances. Additionally, Canada’s post-graduation work permit program (PGWPP) opens doors for international graduates to work in the country after completing their studies, and Canada’s welcoming immigration policies make it an attractive destination for those looking to settle abroad. The country offers a wide range of programs, with some of the most sought-after fields being Business and Management, Computer Sciences & IT, Engineering, Hospitality & Tourism, Medical & HealthCare, and Bio-Tech. To streamline the study permit application process, Canada offers the Canada Student Direct Stream (SDS) for students from select countries, providing quick processing times, reduced documentation, and no additional financial proof requirements.

Studying in Canada equips students with globally recognised degrees and career-focused courses, all within a cost-effective education system. The eligibility criteria for Canada SDS include an acceptance letter from a registered Designated Learning Institution (DLI), proof of tuition fee payment, and a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) worth CAD 10,000. Alongside these requirements, applicants need to provide essential documents such as a medical certificate, a criminal clearance certificate, proof of tuition fee payment for the first year, and a minimum IELTS score of 6 or a minimum of 7 in the French Test d’Evaluation de Français (TEF). Furthermore, students can apply with their family members via SDS and have their applications processed simultaneously for faster approvals. In case of visa rejection, candidates can reapply, provided the rejection letter doesn’t specify otherwise, addressing the reasons for initial rejection, such as the absence of a Letter of Acceptance, insufficient IELTS scores, a lack of financial funds, or missing eligibility requirements.
