The key to achieving success in the JEE Main examination
The Joint Entrance Examination, or JEE (Main), is a national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes (B.E./B.Tech.) in National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses across the country. The JEE (Main) exam also serves as an eligibility examination for the JEE (Advanced), which is used to get admission to IITs.
The JEE (Main)-2023 test is scheduled by NTA in two sessions for admissions to the forthcoming academic session. The first session for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) is scheduled on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31, 2023, while the second session is scheduled on April 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2023. A candidate is not required to appear in both the JEE (Main) 2023 sessions. If a candidate appears in more than one session, the best of his/her JEE (Main) 2023 NTA scores will be selected for ranking. The NTA also offers Papers 2A and 2B (B.Arch. and B.Planning) twice a year (in January and April 2023).
The key to achieving success in the JEE Main exam is to have a combination of strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and effective time management. It is essential to have a clear understanding of the exam pattern and syllabus and to develop a study plan that covers all the important topics. Regular practice with mock tests, sample papers, and previous year question papers is also crucial for familiarizing oneself with the exam pattern and developing time management skills.
Another key aspect is to focus on improving problem-solving skills by practising with different types of questions and developing logical and analytical thinking abilities. It is also important to take care of one’s health and well-being by getting adequate sleep, exercising, and maintaining a positive attitude towards the exam.
